What are the characteristics of a temporary fence for building sites?
Temporary fencing for building sites or mobile fencing, takes the form of panels made of vertical and horizontal tubes of 48 x 2 mm. These tubes act as supports for galvanized wires of 4.50 mm in diameter, giving the barrier a grid-like appearance. The standard dimensions of a panel are 2 x 2 m or 2 x 2.5 m for regular meshes of 5 x 1.5 cm. However, these measurements may be customized according to the security needs of the construction site concerned.
Temporary fences for building sites can be installed quickly. They are secured with reinforced concrete feet. These blocks may usually be ordered from the manufacturer. Free-standing fences are also an option. In this case, the feet are made of steel. In either case, temporary fences can be moved to accommodate the progress of the work on the site. The shape of the panels also allows them to be stacked for storage and/or transport.
Usually, the different panels are held securely together with galvanized steel clips. Stainless steel clips are common and equally effective alternatives. For additional security, the design can incorporate L- or Y-shaped toppings for barbed or concertina wire. Optional blackout cladding may be installed on the temporary structure.
